ShotCodes are analog links to digital content. Decoding them with a mobile phone allows to send sms, to get text information or to download bigger content via internet. Their ornamental presence refines any surface with encrypted digital information as a pattern. Contrasting with traditional advertising, where we are directly exposed to a message, ShotCodes or more common QR-Codes let us the choice of doing the last step towards information by ourselves. So how about rethinking landscapes in order to share digital content through flowers and trees on Google Earth?
